Lennon Augusto nasceu em Pinhais, PR, em 1995. É Mestre em Cinema pela UNESPAR - PPGCINEAV onde pesquisou sobre o cinema de Tarkosvki e sua relação e os aspectos inerentes a memória. Também é formado em Filosofia pela Universidade Federal do Paraná e como Técnico em Produção de Áudio e Vídeo pelo Instituto Federal do Paraná. Fez cursos na área de Elaboração e Gestão de Projetos Audiovisuais e Roteiro com o cineasta Aly Muritiba pelo Espaço de Arte Curitiba em 2015. Como estudante de áudio e vídeo escreveu e dirigiu os seus primeiros curtas metragens.
Além disso escreveu o roteiro do seu trabalho de conclusão de curso "(Ir)real" em 2017. Foi assistente de direção no curta-metragem A Linha Escarlate em 2018. Em 2019 foi selecionado para participar do projeto 70 Olhares Direitos Humanos', realizado pelo Instituto Cinema em Movimento (Icem) em parceria com a Secretaria de Cultura com o filme "Empatia", produzido em 2020. Em 2020 ganhou o premio de melhor roteiro não produzido no festival Cawcine com o filme "O Que Aconteceu com Catarina" (2021). Seus ultimos trabalhos como diretor foram Uma Solução Simples e Jogado na Nuvem, ambos de 2025. Atualmente é cineasta independente e diretor de produção do Festival de Cinema de Colombo.

Lennon Augusto was born in Pinhais, Paraná, in 1995. He holds a Master’s degree in Cinema from UNESPAR – PPGCINEAV, where he researched Tarkovsky’s cinema and its relationship with memory and its inherent aspects. He also holds a degree in Philosophy from the Federal University of Paraná and a technical degree in Film Production from the Federal Institute of Paraná. In 2015, he took courses in Audiovisual Project Development and Management, as well as Screenwriting, with filmmaker Aly Muritiba at Espaço de Arte Curitiba.
As an filmmaker student, he wrote and directed his first short films. In addition, he wrote the screenplay for his graduation project "(Ir)real" in 2017. He was assistant director on the short film A Linha Escarlate in 2018. In 2019, he was selected to participate in the project 70 Olhares – Direitos Humanos, organized by the Instituto Cinema em Movimento (Icem) in partnership with the Secretariat of Culture, with the film Empatia, produced in 2020. In 2020, he won the award for Best Unproduced Screenplay at the Cawcine Festival with the film O Que Aconteceu com Catarina (2021). His most recent works as a director are Uma Solução Simples and Jogado na Nuvem, both released in 2025. He currently works as an independent filmmaker and is the production director of the Colombo Film Festival.
